China Outbound Travel Market is still hot during the global economic crisis.
"80 percent of our tour packages over the National Day Holiday have been sold out. Only 20 percent remaining."
---- Yin Hui, Deputy GM of Spring International

The outbound travel to Japan has grown significantly in August of 2009, with an increase as high as 200% compared to July.

There is still one and half months until the National Day Holiday in China, but the phone lines of travel agencies are getting busier. Most of China travelers did not travel abroad during the first half of this year due to the global economic downturn and the Swine flu. The 8-day National holidays provides an opportunity for most of the Chinese as well as expats for outbound travel. They can not wait to book tour packages even though there are no discounts from tour operators during this peak period.

"The China outbound travel market is still hot and increasing in such a tough time as today, this shows the strong potential of China's travel industry", said Mr. Pan who is in charge of Nelson's China travel investigation, he showed much confidence regarding the development of China's travel industry.

China is still the most welcomed traveler export country.

The World Travel Trends Report estimates continuous growing of China outbound travel, and shows China to still be the most "welcomed" traveler export country. Over half of Chinese travelers select Asia as their destination, followed by Europe, Australia, and North America.

The report also discovers that the youth is becoming one of the major outbound travel people. "The youth is regarding travel as an important part of life. They might postpone purchase of a car when money is short, but would not cancel the next travel."
